Surgical Oncology department works in close association with medical & radiation oncology department for proper treatment planning in a multidisciplinary approach.

Re-constructive surgery is most commonly needed after some types of surgery to remove the cancer. A patient may choose to have re-constructive surgery after a mastectomy. In cases involving cancer of Head & Neck it may be required to replace tissues or nerves during the treatment for these cancers
